We are looking for Chief Rolling Stock Design Engineer for GC Ahmedabad Metro Rail Project.

  • Lead design and development of rolling stock (metro trains) including carbody, propulsion, braking, HVAC, and interiors.
  • Ensure compliance with technical standards, safety norms, and project specifications.
  • Review and approve design drawings, system architecture, and contractor submissions.
  • Coordinate with signaling, PSD, traction, telecom, and system integration teams for seamless interfacing.
  • Define and manage train–system interface requirements (CBTC, PSD synchronization, power systems).
  • Support tender preparation, technical evaluation, and procurement of rolling stock.
  • Oversee manufacturing, assembly, inspection, and factory acceptance tests (FAT).
  • Supervise testing, commissioning, trial runs, and performance validation.
  • Ensure compliance with RAMS (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, Safety) requirements.
  • Resolve technical issues and design challenges during manufacturing and site execution.
  • Monitor project progress, quality, and delivery schedules.
  • Maintain documentation, approvals, and as-built records.
  • Plan for fleet performance optimization, maintenance strategy, and future upgrades.

  • Education: Graduate in Engineering
  • Total Experience: 20 years
  • Relevant Experience: 15 years
