What will you enjoy doing (duties/tasks)
- Sell the range of Ocean/ Maritime products offered by the company.
- Follow up on business quotes sent to clients and prospects.
- Request quotes from the commercial support executive, review quotes before sending to clients to detect omissions or errors.
- If the quote is accepted, start the shipment planning process.
- Identify the business potential, time, and resources necessary that should be invested in the account to satisfy the needs and requirements of clients.
- Schedule visits to the prospect or existing client to publicize the company, products, services, identify their needs and know in detail the requirements to manage their shipments.
- Update client information, accounts, visits, leads, pipeline of own opportunities and calls to give visibility of your activities, new business to your superiors or the global Schenker network.
- Gather the necessary documentation to register new clients and request the finance line of credit, complying with internal guidelines.
- Communicate market trends and competitors.
What you need to succeed (Qualifications, experience, skills, attributes)
- Highly proficient in verbal and written English
- 2 to 3 years experience in forwarding
- Knowledge of Excel and ability to run reports and analyze data is required.
- knowledge of exports and imports (Maritime)
- knowledge in quotes (Pricing)
- knowledge of the market and competence in the field and client portfolio.
