We are seeking a Procurement Specialist as part of our DB Engineering & Consulting GmbH Branch Office.  The job opening is located in Riyadh, KSA and offers the opportunity to lead a team and use your proven team management and communication skills




Responsibilities:

  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers through market research and industry analysis.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers, ensuring they meet performance and quality standards.
  • Negotiate contracts, forecast demand and determine procurement needs, pricing with suppliers to achieve cost savings and value for money.
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies and plans to meet organizational objectives.
  • Monitor inventory levels and reorder products as needed to maintain stock levels and avoid shortages.
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, legal requirements, and industry regulations as well as client requirements. 
  • Analyze procurement data to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and cost reduction strategies.
  • Manage all interfaces with the key stakeholder (consulting team and experts, client and sup-pliers) in meetings or steering boards to ensure project needs e. g. costs, timeline, perfor-mance etc. are met
  • Implement reliable supplier management based on KPIs in cooperation with the project manager 
  • Ensure the transparent results of procurement and contracts as well implement company legislation and compliance standards. 
  • Meeting regularly with the Project team to provide project updates/progress and share and follow up on relevant information.  
  • Attending project meetings / workshops for technical input and follow up procurement related matters
  • Strong background in coordination of activities of Contractor and Client
Qualifications
Qualifications:

  • M.Sc. or B.Sc. degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management and-Finance/Accounting or related field. 
  • Relevant Certifications (e.g. CIPS, CPM) are a plus. 
  • Minimum 10-12 years’ experience in the field of supply chain management, supplier manage-ment, procurement and negotiations for construction logistics project. 
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in similar working position. 
  • In-depth knowledge of procurement best practices, supply chain management, & contract law.
  • Proven track of experience in dealing with private and government stakeholders. 
  • Previous experience with comparable projects in the KSA or Middle East region is required.
  • Full computer literacy. 
  • Excellent knowledge of English Language; Arabic language is an advantage. 
  • Driving license required in order to perform assigned duties.
