For Saudi Arabia, we are looking for a passionate Transportation Systems Engineer (Maintenance Period) (m/f/d).



Responsibilities:

  • Monitor the ongoing operational performance, reliability, and safety of all transit systems during the Maintenance Period, ensuring compliance with RAMS criteria and Employer Requirements.
  • Review maintenance submittals, diagnostic logs, failure reports, and system performance data to verify timely closure of NCRs, defects, and non‑conformities.
  • Oversee corrective and preventive maintenance activities performed by the D&B Contractor, ensuring technical accuracy and adherence to approved methods and system requirements.
  • Verify the functionality and integration of all transit subsystems — signalling/ATC, telecoms, rolling stock, traction power, PSDs, SCADA, and station systems — throughout the DLP.
  • Participate in inspections, safety checks, and system verification activities following maintenance interventions or system updates.
  • Monitor system behaviour under degraded modes, emergency scenarios, operational handovers, and real‑time transitions to ensure compliance with operational procedures.
  • Coordinate with PMCM teams, D&B Contractors, O&M Entities, and Employer representatives to resolve system issues, ensure continuous operability, and manage integration risks.
  • Prepare maintenance period reports, system performance assessments, defect closure summaries, and compliance documentation for Employer review.

Qualifications
Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Railway Engineering, or a related field, with 12+ years of relevant transit systems engineering experience
  • Strong experience working with rail/metro systems including signalling/ATC, telecoms, traction power, rolling stock interfaces, PSDs, SCADA, and station systems.
  • Solid understanding of system performance monitoring, RAMS principles, degraded mode behaviour, and post‑handover maintenance practices.
  • Proven ability to assess maintenance records, diagnostic logs, test results, NCRs, and system compliance documentation.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to evaluate system issues, determine root causes, and validate corrective actions.
  • Familiarity with interface management between systems such as signalling, telecoms, power, rolling stock, PSDs, and operational control systems.
  • Strong communication and coordination abilities for effective collaboration with PMCM teams, contractors, O&M staff, and Employer stakeholders.
  • High level of professionalism, technical diligence, and adaptability suitable for managing system performance in a complex metro megaproject during the DLP.
