For our project in Bangalore, we are looking for a Principal Engineer - Rail Structures. 


  Your Responsibilities:

  • Technical Tasks:
  • Lead a team for design of Bridge/Other Structures related to different Railway / Other Infrastructure Projects
  • Pertake in periodic meetings with the stakeholders to understand the requirements and align the design team to deliver project timely with required quality.
  • Performing design reviews pertaining to the design of elements through all project phases
  • Checking the Drawings.
  • Review of 3d Models
  • Preparing take off quantities;
  • Working cooperatively with team members in order to meet client requirements.
  • Clarification of the scope of services and preparation of the corresponding Bids
  • Bilateral Technical co-ordination with other disciplines, Project leader and third parties
  • To participate in Project planning meetings and organization of internal project meetings. 
  • Notifying the project team of changes in the project
  • Prepare change requests with justifications
  • Preparation of Minutes
  • Communication and sharing of new and current planning objectives in the project with the DCI project team in a timely manner.
  • Final compilation of the submission documents and ensuring timely submission of the documents.
  • Plausibility check of project deliverables of other relevant disciplines 
  • Budget and time control of the project, flag countermeasures if required
  • Project-related PMT management, incl. input for the project overview
  • To co-ordinate with the client to understand the Project scope, to request documents required for the task and deadline.
  • To provide technical support to the Client
  • To monitor & reach the goals in terms of Budget & Timeline.
  • Identify resource needs in the project and ensure resource availability in a timely manner with responsible team leads.
  • Mentoring Engineers and implement & follow up Training plan
  • Contribution to Knowledge Management team
  • To get Project feedback 
  • Verification (for Conformance) and approval of project deliverables in adherence to DB quality standards and guidelines. 
  • Responsible for on-time Project delivery 
  • Implementation of the agreed quality process, incl. technical project support
  • Participation in assigned working groups
  • Support in checking the plausibility of the work of other specialist disciplines
  • Any other work / instructions given by the Team leader 


Qualifikationen

Qualification & Experience:

  • Support and mentoring of Senior/Design Engineers  
  • Excellent English Communication skills.
  • Supports Domestic & International Bids / Projects
  • Working experience in international teams. Should have knowledge of applicable industry code standards (Eurocodes, IRC, BS etc.). Experience in European Standards will be an added advantage.
  • Experience in Higher Speed (minimum 200 kmph) and/ or Heavy Haul (minimum 25T axle load) Railway Bridges 
  • Experience in Underground Structures like Deep Excavation / Tunnelling etc.
  • Design of Bridges for Railway / Highway Loading. Experience in PSC structures would be preferable.
  • Self-organized, highly motivated and has ability to work under pressure.
