We are currently seeking a Business Development & Sales Consultant. The candidate will support the growth of our railway solutions by identifying, developing, and securing new business opportuni-ties within Central Asia, with a specific emphasis on Kazakhstan. The ideal candidate should have an established professional network in the region’s railway sector and a proven track record in acquiring new railway projects and clients.
- Identify and engage potential clients in the railway sector, including government agencies, rail operators, infrastructure companies, and industry partners within Central Asia, with strong fo-cus on Kazakhstan.
- Develop and implement strategies to win new railway infrastructure, technology, and service projects, including both passenger and freight segments.
- Build and nurture a solid network of senior contacts and decision-makers in the railway indus-try to uncover prospective business leads.
- Conduct market analysis to track industry trends, investment plans, and upcoming projects in Kazakhstan and the broader region.
- Focus especially on the Transcaspian Corridor Development and the Global Gateway Initiative of the EU and identify and generate leads for the company.
- Prepare and deliver persuasive proposals, technical presentations, and bids tailored to client needs and market requirements.
- Support with contract negotiations and closings, ensuring alignment with company objectives and customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate with bid, technical, legal, and delivery teams to ensure seamless project handovers and ongoing client engagement.
- Represent the company at industry-specific conferences, trade shows, and business networking events in Central Asia.
- Provide regular reports on sales activities, project pipeline, competitor activities, and market feedback to support strategic decision-making.
- University degree in Engineering, Business, Transport, or a related discipline; railway industry qualifications are highly desirable.
- Minimum 3–5 years of business development or technical sales experience, preferably within the railway industry in Central Asia/Kazakhstan.
- Established and active network within the railway sector in Kazakhstan (e.g., government contacts, railway authorities, industry partners).
- Proven track record in winning new railway contracts or supporting large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Entrepreneurial, results-oriented, and highly motivated.
- Professional, culturally aware, and adaptable to diverse environments.
- Strong organizational and analytical abilities.
- High integrity and commitment to customer satisfaction.
- Fluency in English; Russian and/or Kazakh language skills are an advantage.
- Willingness to travel as per project/client/company requirements.
