Deliver Egypt’s first High Speed Rail Service with DBEE. DBEE is a joint venture between DB International Operations and Elsewedy Electric. DB International Operations provides rail operations and maintenance worldwide; Elsewedy Electric, global energy and infrastructure solutions provider. Together, we combine strong local capabilities with proven global railway expertise to enable efficient, safe and sustainable passenger and freight mobility on Egypt’s first High Speed Rail network. We are looking for transport and mobility professionals with substantial experience in railway operations and projects in Egypt or worldwide. Join us to deliver this landmark project in Cairo.


Responsibilities:
  • Reporting directly to the COO, providing regular updates on train operations.
  • Ensuring the high quality of train operations, meeting customer needs and expectations.
  • Investigating critical incidents and accidents, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Ensuring the achievement of internal operational targets and relevant KPIs.
  • Applying the Safety Management System (SMS) and fulfilling defined Safety Targets. Contributing to the further development of the Safety Program.
  • Ensuring accurate passenger information regarding train operations.
  • Managing Supervisors/Team Leaders of Train Drivers, Train Attendants, and Yards in day-to-day activities, ensuring safe and efficient train operations.
  • Ensuring operational staff members are fully aware of their responsibilities relating to OH&S, Environment, Rail Safety, and Quality.
  • Ensuring operational staff members are competent in performing their assigned tasks.
  • Identifying training requirements, defining necessary training content, and ensuring successful completion.
Kwalifikacje
Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree/MBA in a relevant field, such as Rail Transportation Management or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in train operations or operational (train) control.
  • Proven track record/knowledge leading railway staff in remote locations.
  • Proven knowledge of all aspects of Compliance, ensuring adherence to regulations and industry standards.
  • Certification in Train Operations Management or a relevant area is preferred, demonstrating specialized expertise.
  • Affinity with the transportation industry, particularly in passenger railway operations, would be a plus, showcasing familiarity with industry practices and challenges.
  • Knowledge about railway safety and indecent handling, operational train operation procedures, and basic rail maintenance practices.


Competencies:


  • Experience in the usage, updating, and monitoring of train operation (IT) systems (Train Management Systems (TMS) and/or Train Control Management Systems (TCMS), knowledge in the development or implementation would be a plus.
  • Proven leadership skills over distance and under high pressure.
  • Proven time management and organizational skills to effectively plan and oversee train operations, ensuring smooth and punctual services.
  • Strong presentation skills to communicate operational information clearly and effectively to stakeholders.
  • Good understanding of the business operations of a passenger and cargo railway company, including scheduling, resource allocation, and interfaces to maintenance activities/stakeholders.
  • Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, start-up environment, adapting quickly to changing priorities and demands.
  • Strong ability to work under pressure and meet challenging deadlines, maintaining a high level of operational excellence.
  • Solution-oriented mindset, actively seeking innovative approaches to problem-solving and implementing efficient solutions.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with a diverse team of operational staff.
  • Sound decision-making abilities, considering multiple factors and making informed choices to optimize train operations.
  • Commitment to safety and quality, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and implementing quality control measures.
