Responsibilities:
- Execute and coordinate Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, and Safety (RAMS) activities for railway and transportation projects, ensuring compliance with project requirements, international standards, and contractual obligations.
- Develop, review, and maintain RAMS documentation including RAMS Plans, Hazard Logs, Safety Reports, Reliability Predictions, Availability Models, Maintainability Analyses, and compliance matrices.
- Perform and support RAMS analyses such as FMEA/FMECA, Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), Reliability Block Diagrams (RBD), Common Cause Failure Analysis (CCFA), and risk assessments to improve system performance and safety.
- Support hazard identification, risk management, safety assurance, and Safety Case development throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring timely closure of hazards and technical findings.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams including Signalling, Telecom, Power, OCS, SCADA, Track, Civil, Stations, Depots, and Rolling Stock to integrate RAMS requirements into engineering designs.
- Support Verification & Validation (V&V) activities, requirements traceability, and compliance management using engineering tools and systems.
- Liaise with clients, suppliers, Independent Safety Assessors (ISA), Assessment Bodies (AsBo), and other stakeholders on RAMS-related matters.
- Monitor project performance through RAMS dashboards, KPIs, and technical reports, while supporting continuous improvement, standardization initiatives, bid activities, and mentoring junior engineers.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Systems, Railway Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 5–8 years of overall engineering experience, including 3–5 years in RAMS/System Assurance within railway, metro, high-speed rail, or other safety-critical transportation projects.
- Strong knowledge of EN 50126, EN 50128, EN 50129, IEC 61508, CSM-RA, and railway assurance frameworks.
- Experience with RAMS tools such as Isograph, ReliaSoft, FaultTree+, IBM DOORS, ComplyPro, or similar engineering management systems.
- Strong analytical, technical writing, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary and international project environments.
