For Saudi Arabia, we are looking for a passionate Traffic Engineer (m/f/d).
- Review and comment on all Traffic Management Plans (TMPs) and temporary traffic control proposals submitted by the D&B Contractor, ensuring alignment with TMC guidelines and Employer Requirements.
- Monitor road works, traffic diversions, and construction staging activities to ensure safe, efficient traffic operations and compliance with approved TMPs.
- Coordinate with Riyadh Municipality, Traffic Police, utilities agencies, and other stakeholders to secure necessary permits and approvals for traffic schemes and road occupancy.
- Assess construction impacts on vehicular traffic, public transport, pedestrian flows, and emergency access routes, recommending mitigation measures where required.
- Support the evaluation of road re‑arrangement designs, drop‑off areas, pedestrian pathways, intermodal connections, and station access improvements linked to Line 7 works.
- Conduct inspections of temporary traffic control setups, signage, barriers, lighting, and safety measures to verify compliance with project and municipal standards.
- Collaborate with PMCM teams, the D&B Contractor, the TMC, and Employer personnel to re-solve traffic-related issues, minimize disruptions, and maintain safe transit corridors.
- Prepare technical reports, monitoring summaries, traffic observations, and compliance documentation for Employer review in line with PMCM reporting requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a related field, with 12+ years of traffic engineering experience
- Strong background in traffic engineering, road safety, traffic impact assessment, temporary traffic control, and construction‑phase traffic management.
- Knowledge of traffic management guidelines, municipal permitting processes, and temporary traffic control standards applicable to large‑scale infrastructure projects.
- Ability to review and interpret TMPs, road layouts, staging drawings, pedestrian movement plans, and safety management documents.
- Understanding of multimodal transport considerations, including pedestrian access, public transport integration, drop‑off areas, and intermodal connectivity.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills to identify risks, evaluate construction impacts, and recommend effective traffic mitigation measures.
- Excellent coordination and communication skills for working with PMCM teams, contractors, municipal authorities, police, and stakeholders.
- High level of professionalism, attention to detail, and adaptability necessary for managing traffic engineering challenges in a complex megaproject environment.
