For this project we are seeking a Signaling Expert
- Review signaling system design submissions (ETCS Level 2), including system architecture, design reports, and technical specifications.
- Assess ETCS system configuration, including:
- Radio Block Centre (RBC) architecture
- Electronic interlocking arrangements
- Balise placement and data configuration
- Verify compliance with applicable standards, including ETCS Subset-026 and relevant EN/IEC/UIC requirements.
- Evaluate signaling principles and operational concepts, including movement authority, braking curves, and train protection logic for high-speed operation.
- Review telecom interface (signaling perspective only), ensuring communication performance meets ETCS requirements (latency, availability, reliability).
- Assess rolling stock interface, ensuring compatibility of onboard ETCS equipment with trackside signaling systems.
- Provide value engineering recommendations, including:
- Optimization of system architecture and equipment configuration
- Reduction of lifecycle cost without compromising safety or performance
- Review installation methodology and construction submissions, identifying risks, inconsistencies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Witness and review testing & commissioning activities, including FAT, SAT, and trial runs, and provide independent observations and recommendations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, or relevant discipline.
- Total Experience: Minimum 15 years in infrastructure projects.
- HSR Experience: Minimum 4–6 years in High-Speed Rail or major railway projects.
