Deliver Egypt’s first High Speed Rail Service with DBEE. DBEE is a joint venture between DB International Operations and Elsewedy Electric. DB International Operations provides rail operations and maintenance worldwide; Elsewedy Electric, global energy and infrastructure solutions provider. Together, we combine strong local capabilities with proven global railway expertise to enable efficient, safe and sustainable passenger and freight mobility on Egypt’s first High Speed Rail network. We are looking for transport and mobility professionals with substantial experience in railway operations and projects in Egypt or worldwide. Join us to deliver this landmark project in Cairo.
The Senior Expert & Chief Trainer - Operations is a strategic role responsible for defining, leading, and delivering the complete operational training and competence development strategy for the high-speed rail network. This includes designing and implementing training programs for all key operational roles, such as train drivers, OCC staff, station personnel, train attendants, and maintenance support staff, ensuring they meet the highest international standards of safety, performance, reliability, and customer service.

Responsibilities:

  • Imparting the necessary knowledge for the safe performance of train operations in compliance with the applicable legal and service standards
  • Developing of curricula and training programs
  • Monitor and conduct theoretical and practical training and continuing education for train drivers, train conductors, train attendants, shunters and wagon examiners
  • Carrying out theoretical and practical training and advanced training measures for employees in other areas
  • Use of available technical aids (practical instruction on the vehicle, computer-based trainings (CBT), driving simulator)
  • Implementation of the latest scientific findings for the execution of lessons
  • Preparation of teaching materials and documents for the participants
  • Execution of the success control
  • Support of the examiners
  • Guidance of the traction vehicle instructors and operational trainers
  • Supporting for risk assessments if required
  • Developing of countermeasures to minimize operational risks and measures to increase the operational quality
  • Developing descriptions of SOPs and support in developtement and update of operational rules.
  • Checking of compliance of the defined and described of relevant operation rules, procedures and instructions
  • Participation in necessary trainings / seminars
Képzettség
Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree/MBA in a relevant field, such as Operations Management or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in operations training or a related field.
  • Proven knowledge of all aspects of compliance, ensuring adherence to regulations and industry standards.
  • Adult education.
  • Certification in Training and Development or a relevant area is preferred, showing specialized expertise.
  • Affinity with the transportation industry, particularly in passenger railway operations, would be a plus, demonstrating familiarity with industry practices and challenges.
  • Knowledge about training methodologies, instructional design, and evaluation techniques.

  • Understanding ofexisting operational processes Experience in the development, implementation, updating, and monitoring of training systems would be an asset, contributing to the continuous improvement of training programs.
  • Proven time management and organizational skills to effectively plan, coordinate, and deliver training sessions.
  • Excellent presentation skills to engage and motivate trainees, delivering information clearly and effectively.
  • Good understanding of the business operations of a passenger railway operation and maintenance company, or equivalent industry knowledge, enabling effective training delivery.
  • Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, start-up environment, adapting quickly to changing training needs and priorities.
  • Strong ability to work under pressure and meet challenging deadlines, ensuring timely completion of training programs.
  • Solution-oriented mindset, actively seeking innovative approaches to training design and delivery.
  • Strong client orientation and a quick response attitude, providing excellent service to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Willingness to learn and adhere to DB standards, incorporating them into training materials and processes.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to interact at all levels of the organization, and a team player, collaborating effectively with colleagues.
  • Ability to work with a diverse workforce in intercultural environments, fostering inclusivity and cultural sensitivity.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Teams, Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.) and relevant IT systems, leveraging technology for effective training delivery.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English, facilitating clear communication.
  • Fluent in Arabic, enabling effective training delivery to Arabic-speaking participants.
