The position is based in Bucharest. By arrangement, part of the working time can be performed from Germany under certain conditions.

We are looking for you to join us as soon as possible as a Technical Coordinator for the Control and Safety Technology planning discipline at DB Engineering & Consulting GmbH, with the intention of sending you to our Design Center in Bucharest.

Our Design Center provides planning services for railway infrastructure construction projects, ranging from preliminary to detailed design, particularly using the 3D to 5D planning approach based on BIM methodology (Building Information Modeling).

In this role, you will guide a project team on a technical level and work closely with the signaling planning engineers, clients, and management. This ensures improved performance quality and secures client satisfaction.

The projects are primarily created for Deutsche Bahn in Germany, with smaller-scale projects also aimed at the international market.

Responsibilities:

• Technical qualification of employees in the organizational unit
•  Providing technical supervision to employees, ensuring cross-project and contract-compliant performance
•  Ensuring quality-, budget-, and deadline-compliant execution of planning services for safety systems at DB AG
• Ensuring the training and continuing education of assigned employees, as well as knowledge and technology transfer within the organizational unit for preserving and advancing subject-specific and railway-specific knowledge
• Conducting quality reviews during planning stages
• Acquiring projects, analyzing tenders and design scopes, and calculating planning costs
• Preparing and coordinating modifications/additional deliverables with regional locations in Germany and beyond (project leadership)
• Recruiting and retaining employees as well as ensuring their qualification and development
• Preparing and aligning supplemental agreements with internal and external clients
• Demonstrating a proactive, reliable, and independent way of working
• Exhibiting high engagement and flexibility, as well as confident and competent behavior
• Very high communication skills

• Several years of professional experience in executing plans for Control and Safety Technology
• Several years of professional experience in quality review processes
• Experience in leading planning teams in complex projects in the field of Control and Safety Technology
• Advanced knowledge of HOAI, VV Bau STE, and the relevant guidelines of Deutsche Bahn AG
• Language skills: Fluent in German and English
