The project - NHSRCL Mumbai-Ahmedabad - Mumbai, India. We are hiring for the position of Dy. Chief Expert- Contract.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and administer Contract Management under FIDIC Conditions of Contract (Red, Yellow, Silver Book), ensuring full contractual compliance and protection of Client interests.
• Prepare and monitor the integrated project schedule, and review contractors’ work plans to ensure alignment with overall project milestones and contractual requirements.
• Manage and support the procurement lifecycle, including tender review, commercial evaluation, contract award, and contract closure.
• Review and evaluate Contractor Claims and Variation Orders / Change Orders, including assessment of Extension of Time (EOT), cost impact, and contractual entitlement.
• Prepare and monitor project cost baseline, budget, cash flow, and cost breakdown structure (CBS), ensuring effective cost control and financial tracking.
• Identify and mitigate contractual, commercial, and project risks, and maintain risk, claims, and change registers.
• Support dispute resolution, contract negotiations, and preparation of contractual correspondence, in coordination with senior management and legal teams.
• Assist in establishing and implementing contract management, claims management, and change management procedures as per project requirements.
• Participate in contractual meetings and commercial discussions with contractors and stakeholders, supporting the Client’s contractual position
• This position stands in for all roles and responsibilities of the Chief Expert-Contract during his absence.

• Engineering Graduate/ Diploma.
• Engineering Graduate with overall 15 years, or Engineering Diploma with overall 18 years of experience in  infrastructure Projects(ii).
• 08 years of experience in contract management during construction phase in Railbased Transit System project(s)(i) funded by Bilateral / Multilateral Development Banks/Agencies.
• Good knowledge of Project Controls, Procurement life cycle, FIDIC contract clauses and legal interpretation.
• Experience in preparing contractual letters, notices, and legal correspondence.
• Coordination with legal team for dispute resolution and arbitration support.
• Experience in contract amendments, negotiations supports.
