We are currently looking for Graduates with zest into power system engineering for railways and metros.


Your Responsibilities:

  • Design Support: Assist in the design and development of power systems for railway electrification, including traction power networks and substations.
  • Engineering Analysis: Conduct power flow studies, short-circuit analysis and protection studies to ensure system reliability and efficiency. 
  • Perform engineering calculations based on EN/ IEC standards and develop calculation sheets.
  • Drafting and Documentation: Create and update design drawings, schematics, and layouts using drafting tools (AutoCAD), and prepare technical documentation to support project delivery.
  • Compliance and Standards: Ensure designs adhere to relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and client specifications.
  • Project Involvement: Collaborate with senior engineers and project teams to support the designs, apply principles of electrical engineering and support designs with desktop research for railway electrification projects.
  • Innovation: Participate in the development of innovative solutions, literature research to improve system performance and reduce costs in power systems design.
  • Learning and Development: Engage in continuous learning opportunities, including training sessions, workshops, and hands-on project experience to build expertise in power systems design
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other engineering disciplines, to integrate power systems design into overall project requirements.
Qualifications

Your Qualification:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or a related field.
  • Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of electrical power systems, including AC and DC power, substations, and electrical distribution systems.
  • Well-versed with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Word).


Desired Skills:

  • Software Skills: Familiarity with power system analysis software (e.g., ETAP, SKM, PSS/E) and CAD tools (e.g., AutoCAD, MicroStation) is an advantage.
  • Scripting & Coding: Python, MATLAB
  • Emotional Intelligence (EQ): Should practice best behaviors of self-regulation, empathy and social skills to learn and perform at the workplace.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to prepare technical reports and presentations.
  • Problem-Solving: Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a team environment, adaptive to and collaborate with professionals from various disciplines.
  • Willingness to Learn: Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and industry practices.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of design work.
  • Dynamic & Complaint: Ability to adapt to shifting demands and competing priorities from projects and internal partners to consistently manage time effectively and meet established deadlines.
