We are seeking for a CTC Computer-based Command Center Expert as a part of our DB Engineering & Consulting GmbH Branch Office. The job opening is located in Cairo, Egypt, and offers exciting challenges and potential for career growth.
Responsibilities:
- Provide expert knowledge in design, implementation and operation of CTC Computer-based Command Centres / OCC.
- Monitor the design, configuration, and implementation of Centralized Traffic Control (CTC) systems Computer-based Command Centre for the railway project by the contractor.
- Ensure that all CTC systems (Computer-based Command Centre) meet safety standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Conduct safety assessments and risk analyses related to CTC operations (Computer-based Command Centre) and recommend improvements.
- Establish maintenance and support procedures for CTC systems (Computer-based Command Centre) as well as design review and installation supervision of CTC systems.
- Collaborate with the project team to ensure that CTC systems (Computer-based Command Centre) are integrated seamlessly with other railway infrastructure.
- Identify, initiate, and implement corrective actions and process improvement methodologies in line with cost reduction and lean organization.
- Review of method statements, work and performance plans, testing & commissioning plans and programs, progress reports and any other relevant contractor’s documents.
- Troubleshoot and investigate equipment faults, incidents, etc. at all stages of the project and participate in FAT, SAT and other testing activities on site if required.
- Provide technical and organizational guidance to the site supervision and coordinate activities of contractor and client.
- Meet regularly with the project team to provide project updates/progress and share and follow up on relevant information.
- Assist in the preparation of progress reports and typing deliverables in English.
- Attend project meetings / workshops for technical input and follow up CTC system related matters.
- M.Sc. or B.Sc. degree in electrical/ electronical engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in CTC System Computer-based Command Centre and it’s related systems.
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in similar working position.
- Previous experience with comparable projects in the Middle East region would be advantage.
- Full computer literacy.
- Excellent knowledge of English language; Arabic language is an advantage.
- Driving license required in order to perform assigned duties.
