The project - NHSRCL Mumbai-Ahmedabad - Mumbai, India. We are hiring for the position of Dy. Chief Expert-SHE.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish Safety Management System covering the comprehensive safety management in whole system which shall include; safety requirements for disaster protection of fire, flooding, earthquakes and lightning, train operation rules.
  • Develop emergency procedures including contact networking with hospitals, fire stations, police stations, military bases, and other organizations, if any, and ensure effective implementation across the project.
  • Provide overall leadership and direction for the Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) management system, ensuring effective implementation of project safety policies and procedures.
  • Review and approve contractors’ safety, health, and environmental plans, and ensure effectiveness of accident prevention and mitigation measures.
  • Ensure contractors implement and maintain adequate safety devices, PPE, barricading, and safety signboards for workforce and public safety.
  • Ensure full compliance with statutory safety regulations, government requirements, and Client (NHSRCL) SHE standards.
  • Oversee environmental protection and monitoring activities, and ensure implementation of required mitigation measures.
  • Ensure implementation of occupational health, safety, and welfare measures for all personnel at site and project offices.
  • Lead safety inspections, audits, and incident investigations, and ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
  • Perform any other roles and responsibilities required to complete the project and as assigned by the Project Director / Client (NHSRCL).
  • This position stands responsible for overall SHE leadership and shall ensure continuity of all Chief Expert–SHE functions and responsibilities for effective project safety management.
Títulos
  • Full time regular B.E/B. Tech with Govt. recognized full time regular Diploma in Safety.
  • Full time regular BE/B. Tech in safety.
  • Government recognized regular full time PG Degree in Environmental Engineering/Sciences with Regular Full Time Govt. 
  • Recognized Safety diploma/degree.
  • Full time regular science degree with International Qualifications like CSP (Certified safety professional), NEBOSH Diploma.
  • Recognized degree in any branch of engineering from recognized university with International qualifications like CSP (Certified safety professional),Diploma in NEBOSH.
  • Engineering Graduate, or PG degree in Environment Engineering/Sciences with overall 15 years, or  Degree in Science with overall 18 years of experience in Infrastructure Projects(ii)
  • 08 years of experience in SHE management during construction phase in  Railbased Transit System project(s)(i).
  • Expertise in developing and implementing HSE Management Systems in compliance with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards.
  • Strong knowledge of statutory safety regulations, labour laws, and government safety requirements for large infrastructure projects.
  • Extensive experience in construction safety management, risk assessment (HIRA), and hazard identification for Metro / Rail / EPC projects.
  • Proven ability in incident investigation, safety audits, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Expertise in emergency preparedness, disaster management, and environmental management, including fire, evacuation, and environmental protection.
  • Strong leadership, contractor safety management, and stakeholder coordination skills, ensuring compliance with Client and contractual HSE requirements.
