Responsabilidades
Rail Baltica is the biggest comprehensive infrastructure project in Eastern Europe region. It's a joint project of three EU member States - Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania to coordinate the development and construction of the fast-conventional standard gauge railway line on the North Sea - Baltic TEN-T Core Network Corridor linking three Baltic states with Poland and the rest of the EU. The expected core outcome of the Rail Baltica project is a European gauge (1435 mm) double-track, high-speed railway line of almost 900 km in length meant for both passenger and freight transport and the required additional infrastructure (to ensure full operability of the railway). 

Currently RB Rail AS (multi-national joint venture of the Republics of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, which has been established to implement Rail Baltica) is requesting Design and Design Supervision services for the construction of the new railway line. 

The position offers an opportunity to gain international experience and be a part of an innovative rail design team, working together to develop solutions for future railways. We are seeking for a highly responsible and accountable, efficient and proactive Occupational Safety Expert.   

Key aspects of this role include but are not limited to:


  • Act as Engineer's Occupational Safety Expert in large Design & Build project based on FIDIC Yellow Book
  • Review, comment and approve Contractor's construction method statements
  • Review, comment and approve Contractor's works organization plan and related documents from HSE point of view
  • Perform site inspections, communicate closely with Contractor's and Employer's HSE staff and specialists
  • Identify, document and monitor mitigation of breaches of approved methods and procedures
  • Perform safety-related reviews, audits and inspections
  • Review and approve Contractor's HSE reports and related documents
  • Establish and maintain reporting about Engineer's own HSE activities
  • Participate in construction meetings


Títulos

Your profile:

  • 3-5 years experience as HSE (health, safety, environment protection) officer in major civil engineering construction sites.
  • Complete applicable university education (Bachelor or Master’s degree)
  • Applicable Certification
  • Conversant in English and Latvian

The salary range for this position is 2700 to 3100 euros gross (depending on experience and qualifications).
