Responsibilities

We are offering an exciting internship (f/m/d) opportunity for a motivated individual interested in mechatronics, data processes and Software engineering. The selected intern(s) will work closely with our experienced team of engineers and researchers, gaining hands-on experience in developing, testing, and optimizing mechatronic systems. This internship provides a unique opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world projects while contributing to the advancement of innovative technologies.

A 6-months internship (f/m/d) program with several components awaits you: joint kick-off event with the other program participants, workshop for personal and professional development, practical experience in several areas to build your personal network, individual support from a competent mentor during the program and a discussion about your prospects at the end of your internship. For the start of our internship program "Student Track" (f/m/d) on 01/04/2025 we are looking for you for a 6-months internship at DB InfraGO in Frankfurt (Main).

Deine Aufgaben:

• Within collaborative project work, you will assist in designing, developing, and testing mechatronic systems together with our software & engineering team
• You will be engaged in hands on prototyping and testing of mechatronic components, ensuring adherence to project specifications and quality standards
• Some of your exercises can also be maintaining detailed documentation of design processes, testing procedures, and results to contribute to the knowledge base of the team
• With your expertise, you work on identifying and troubleshooting issues in systems, proposing and implementing effective solutions

Qualifications

Dein Profil:

• You are currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program in mechatronics, robotics, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, digital engineering or a related field
• You have a solid understanding of hardware, control systems as well as hardware software interfaces and automation
• Previous experiences with PCB, Microcontrollers, Raspberry Pi, or Arduino are mandatory; knowledge of CAD software for design and modelling purposes would be a plus
• You are proficient in a popular programming language (C, C++, C#, Java, Python)
• Strong problem-solving skills, a hands-on approach to learning as well as excellent communication-, teamwork skills as well as self-organization and the ability to work independently are essential skills
