DB Cargo UK is currently recruiting for a Project Coordinator to join our ERTMS department based at Toton, working on a hybrid basis. This role will support the project delivery team in the implementation of ERTMS.
This role will be responsible for supporting project team ensuring the timely and successful delivery of projects. The successful candidate will have excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well in a team environment. You will assist the ERTMS Project Planner in maintaining, controlling and change control of project documents.
ERTMS is a single European signaling and speed control system that ensures interoperability of the national railway systems, reducing the purchasing and maintenance costs of the signaling systems as well as increasing the speed of trains, the capacity of infrastructure and the level of safety in rail transport.
What will you be doing?
The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating project team and ensuring that all team members are aware of project deadlines and responsibilities that align with the project plan. This will involve creating Gantts, preparing reports, and maintaining project documents.
To support the Project Planner in the creation, alignment, and ongoing tracking of project plans and status updates with key stakeholders. An experience of using of Primavera P6 is essential.
Ensure project documentation is up to date and date and accessible to the project team.
Support the Project Administrator in the collation, submission (to Network Rail) and processing of ERTMS periodic recharges, including liaison with sub-contractors/consultants.
Arrange staff release plans for key stakeholders within the business to support ETRMS delivery.
Document Control activities including the Maintenance and update of the ERTMS SharePoint website ensuring only the most up to date documents are used to support various workstreams.
Raise purchase requisitions and liaise with procurement to expedite order through to system, ensuring invoices are allocated accordingly to the relevant approver.
Support in the coordination of workshops and process developments with key internal stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure alignment to the Business Change activities.
Support the project team in Business Readiness implementation including logging, controlling and dissemination of the information.
Liaising with DB Cargo legal team in support of general contract information to support the programme including arrangement of NDA between DBC and suppliers.
What are we looking for?
Experience of working in a planning role within a project environment.
Understanding and experience of using systems such as P6 Primavera.
Excellent communication and written skills with the ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with stakeholders at all levels.
Solutions focused with the ability to adapt and change.
High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Comfortable and confident to travel around the UK to different sites as and when needed.
Minimum GCSE Grade C in Maths and English.
