We are looking for an experienced Civil Engineer for Structures to join our team in Belgrade, supporting the design and technical control of underground metro station projects.

Responsibilities:

• Review and verification of all components of the station structural design, including structural calculations, numerical modeling, and interaction with geotechnical conditions, construction drawings.
• Assessment of the design’s compliance with applicable standards, codes, and specific project requirements for metro stations.
• Verification of the adopted analysis models and assumptions, including the evaluation of soil–structure interaction under both construction and operational conditions.
• Coordination with design engineers, geotechnical specialists, and the project team to ensure alignment of technical solutions and addressing of identified issues.
• Preparation of technical review reports including detailed comments, required revisions, and recommendations for design approval.
• Monitor implementation of approved technical solutions where required.
• Performing other tasks necessary for the successful implementation of the project.
• Providing technical guidance on structural design during the preparation of project documentation (PGD and PZI stage) in coordination with other designers.
• Monitoring the condition of buildings and engineering structures affected by infrastructure construction, recommending necessary measures to preserve integrity, and reporting to the Specialist for the Monitoring of the Preparation and Inspection of Technical Documentation, Construction Manager and Client.
• Advising on planning and dynamic work schedules. Reviewing Contractor work plans and schedules, providing recommendations
• Participating in the preparation of the progress reports, including monthly and quarterly reports during design.
• Performing other tasks necessary for the successful implementation of the project.

Qualifikationen

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in civil engineering design, including at least 5 years of experience in the design of structures within the specified field: geotechnical engineering structures, including excavation support systems, diaphragm walls, pile walls, retaining structures, ground anchors and reinforced soil systems, etc.
• Experience in designing stabilization measures for complex and unstable ground conditions in urban environments will be considered an advantage;
• Licenses of a responsible designer issued by the Engineering Chamber of Serbia in the field of civil engineering – License 310 (responsible designer of structural engineering) and License 316 (responsible designer of geotechnical engineering structures) are mandatory;
• Extensive experience in geotechnical and structural analyses, foundation design, structural modeling, load calculations, in accordance with relevant engineering standards and safety regula-tions.;
• Advanced proficiency in relevant geotechnical engineering software, including GeoStudio (Slope/W, Seep/W), GEO5, Rocscience software (e.g., Slide, RS2/Phase2), and PLAXIS 2D/3D;
• Advanced computer skills: Windows & Office tools, ACAD;
• Knowledge of local design codes, regulations, and standards (good working knowledge in Eurocode 7).
• Experience with metro or large-scale infrastructure projects is an advantage.
• Ability to work safely on construction sites and follow health & safety procedures.
• Availability for occasional site visits.
