We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Railway Systems Maintenance Manager (m/f/d) for a Technical Advisory project for OSE in Athens, Greece. As Railway Systems Maintenance Manager you will be responsible to review, improve and manage the operation plan for the Greek Railways in collaboration with both DB E&C team members and the client OSE to ensure profitable, safe and efficient operation. Your focus will be on improving the efficiency and safety of railway maintenance.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting the implementation of the National Maintenance Plan, ensuring effective planning, prioritization, and execution of preventive and corrective maintenance work
- Guiding the transition of Hellenic Railways S.A. to a maintenance model based on service level agreements (SLAs), where the performance, quality, and effectiveness of maintenance work are defined, measured, and monitored contractually
- Coordination of the introduction of life cycle asset management, in accordance with ISO 55000 standards, covering railways, signaling, electrification and telecommunications
- Provision of technical expertise for the conclusion of performance-based maintenance contracts and service level monitoring systems
- Provision of technical expertise for the development and implementation of SLAs with internal regional units and external contractors, ensuring transparent, documented, and responsible maintenance management across the entire network
- Guiding the development of digital maintenance tools and predictive maintenance models using telemetry and sensor data
- Supporting effective coordination between infrastructure maintenance teams and rolling stock maintenance units to minimize operational disruptions
- Supporting the standardization of inspection procedures, fault recording, and work orders in all regional maintenance units
- Monitoring compliance with quality, safety, and environmental requirements during maintenance work
- Review the current asset management of the Greek railways (OSE, former GaiaOSE and former ErgOSE)
- Propose an improved, holistic and future proof asset management system aiming at efficiency
- Successfully completed university degree in railway, electrical or mechanical engineering or similar and relevant professional experience in a comparable, complex role
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in similar tasks
- Minimum 5 years’ work experience in railway infrastructure maintenance, in an environment using European standards and regulations such as ERMTS, EVM, TSI etc.
- You impress with your impartial moderation skills and intercultural sensitivity.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Fluency in English mandatory; German and Greek would be an advantage
- Familiarity with Greek administrative business standards
