We are seeking a CEO Advisor as part of our DB Engineering & Consulting GmbH Branch Office. The job opening is located in Makkah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and offers exciting challenges and potential for career growth.
- Serves as a senior strategic and operational partner, supporting the CEO in overseeing, optimizing, and scaling bus operations.
- Focuses on operational excellence, service reliability, cost efficiency, safety, and performance management across the bus network, while translating executive priorities into actionable initiatives.
- Act as a trusted advisor to the CEO on all matters related to bus operations, service delivery, and operational performance.
- Provide data-driven insights, analysis, & recommendations to support executive decision-making.
- Support development and execution of short- and long-term operational strategies aligned with organizational goals
- Monitor and evaluate performance of bus operations, including on-time performance, fleet utilization, service reliability, safety, and customer experience
- Identify operational risks, service gaps, and improvement opportunities
- Support coordination between operations, maintenance, scheduling, planning, safety, and finance teams.
- Establish and track key operational KPIs and dashboards
- Lead or support initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service quality
- Drive continuous improvement in operational processes, policies, and governance.
- Lead high-priority cross-departmental projects sponsored by the CEO
- Ensure alignment and accountability across internal stakeholders
- Follow up on executive directives and track progress of CEO-led initiatives.
- Support interactions with boards, stakeholders, third party, and external service providers
- Representing the CEO in internal and external meetings as delegated
- Assist with preparation of executive reports, board materials, and operational briefings.
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- 8-12+ years of experience in transit operations, transportation management, operations leadership, or executive advisory roles
- Strong understanding of big bus operations, fleet management and maintenance, scheduling, labor environments (multi-national workforce), and regulatory requirements
- Proven ability to analyse complex operational data and translate insights into action
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
- High level of discretion, integrity, and professional judgment.
- Preferably with regional and international expertise, specifically 5 years’ experience in the Middle East.
- Experience working with Ministry, Government Agencies, Public & Private Stakeholders in the Middle East.
- Preferably proficiency in Arabic language, speaking, writing & reading. Plus, English language skills both spoken and written.
