Position Description Summary

The Inventory Control will manage and control the flow of inventory and warehouse operations. He/she will accomplish this through a comprehensive analysis of inventory transactions to identify problems, recommend solutions and drive implementation of improved practices.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Maintain inventory data integrity and tracks accuracy of inventory.
  • Manage all aspects of inventory control from time of purchase to time of sale
  • Maintain accurate records of all goods received and shipped, including daily/weekly cycle counts
  • Identify and implement inventory process improvements
  • Monitor inventory control processes for compliance to health products Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Ensure cleaning logs are available for the contracted service provider and monitor that the cleaning activities are adequately documented.
  • Ensure GMP records are appropriately completed by the Warehouse staff.
  • Perform releases/rejections in the inventory control system and physically. 
  • Manage the flow of product for disposal/destruction through the system.
  • Liaise with Warehouse staff, Management and Quality Control when required by 
  • Follow departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

Knowledge and Skills

  • Minimum three years of inventory control or related experience
  • 3-5 years in a fast paced environment with a proven track record
  • Team oriented, able to work constructively and cooperatively with team members as well as with other departments
  • GMP trained
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in MS office, specifically excel
  • Excellent communication skills, written/verbal, fluent in English
  • Excellent accuracy and organization skills complimented by the ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Excellent knowledge of overall warehousing process
