DB E&C is seeking for a Track Laying Lead Specialist (f/m/d) for an upcoming bid/project in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The project duration will be 36 months and on-site.
It is a "Consutruction Supervision Consultant" project for the Dhaka Mass Rapid Transit Development Investment Project (Line - 5): Southern route. The project includes a 17.2 km metro line consisting of 13.1 km underground and 4.1 km elevated alignment with 11 undergroung and 4 elevated stations.
Responsibilities and Tasks in Detail:
- Reports directly to the Chief Resident Engineer (Railway System).
- Review and, if necessary, revise the previous track related tasks carried out under the Project Readiness Financing (PRF) phase of the MRT Line-5 :Southern Route, with consideration for potential impacts on surrounding infrastructure.
- Oversee the design and installation activities associated with track laying.
- Supervise installation progress and conduct inspections to ensure quality, quantity, safety, maintainability, and compliance with applicable rules, codes, and specifications.
- Support the Client during testing and commissioning upon completion of track related works.
- Assist in the resolution of actual and potential Contractor claims during the manufacturing, installation, testing, and commissioning phases related to track systems.
- Assist to system integration efforts within the overall railway system.
Required abilities, skills and competencies:
- Holds a Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline or a closely related field.
- Possesses over 12 years of professional experience, including a minimum of 8 years in rail-bound system projects.
- Demonstrates a proven track record of participation in at least one international project and/or projects funded by Multilateral Development Banks (MDBs) or Development Partners.
- Exhibits professional fluency in English, both written and spoken.
