Responsibilities

We are looking for you as an IT Project Manager (f/m/d) for DB International Operations located in Berlin as soon as possible.

Your goal is to ensure the timely completion of IT projects and project deliverables while adhering to economic constraints and maintaining demonstrably high-quality standards; implementing technical expertise across all project phases at DB IO (bidding, mobilization, operational management), involving numerous heterogeneous interfaces and multiple international locations.

Deine Aufgaben:

• The focus of your job is to lead and manage (IT) projects or subprojects, implement them on behalf of Deutsche Bahn International Operations GmbH (DB IO), while also assuming a subject-matter expert role
• You will manage IT/OT implementation projects for railway operations and asset management/ maintenance in our, particularly, software implementation, testing in standard tools such as MS Projects or Primavera P6, compatibility and conformance with existing IT
• Therefore, you will provide training and support to Operations and maintenance teams for optimal system usage, challenge and improve IT Delivery Roadmaps with our OpCos (operating companies) and define IT/Tech organizational structures within our OpCos
• You initiate IT requirements management from operational departments towards IT and develop tools and resources to standardize and optimize selected process workflows within the team and related projects
• You will also constantly take part in providing expert consulting to colleagues, OpCo employees, business development and stakeholders while supporting contract negotiations with clients and partners

Qualifications

Dein Profil:

• The basis of your career is education or a degree in business administration, STEM, or a comparable field of expertise, relevant training is also welcome with equivalent qualifications
• You have relevant professional experience of least 5 years in project management and/or IT project management and proven cross-disciplinary knowledge of railway systems and the interrelationships between various railway operations areas
• On this basis, your strong project management and social skills are required, along with high technical expertise and the ability to quickly adapt to new technical systems
• You are keen to and have what it takes to quickly understand and analyze complex processes and interdependencies, define standards, conceptualize and perform sustainable implementation of such standards on a multinational level with organization-wide impact
• You are willing, and able to go on international business trips, and you can read, speak and write fluently in English, German is beneficial
