We are seeking a Senior HSSEQ Expert as part of our DB Engineering & Consulting GmbH Branch Office. The job opening is located in Makkah, Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and offers exciting challenges and potential for career growth.
- Developing and Implementing HSSEQ Strategies
- Review and improve comprehensive HSSEQ policies and procedures.
- Set objectives, targets, and improvement programs to enhance HSSEQ performance1.
- Regularly monitor HSSEQ performance and report progress to senior leadership.
- Conduct audits and inspections to ensure compliance with HSSEQ standards2.
- Develop and deliver training programs to ensure the bus operators’ personnel (Client, sub-contractor, Public & Private Stakeholders) are knowledgeable about HSSEQ practices.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training and make necessary adjustments.
- Identify potential HSE risks and implement measures to mitigate them.
- Manage risks associated with the bus operator1.
- Lead investigations into serious incidents and accidents.
- Develop corrective actions to prevent future occurrences2.
- Ensure compliance with the contract, local, national, and international HSSEQ regulations.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and Clients to meet stakeholder requirements1.
- Act as a crisis manager during major incidents, providing guidance on next steps.
- Develop and implement crisis response plans1.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement in HSSEQ practices.
- Implement initiatives to enhance overall HSSEQ awareness and engagement.
- Master’s or bachelor’s degree holder, Qualified, HSSEQ Chartered.
- Minimum of 20 years plus experience includes 10 years relevant experience in the field of bus operations related to HSSEQ.
- Preferably with regional and international expertise, specifically with GCC experience.
- Seasoned, well experienced professional from a HSSEQ bus operating background and shall provide direction, supervision, advice and guidance on all related field.
- Experience working with Ministry, Government Agencies, Public & Private Stakeholders in the Middle East.
- HSSEQ experience in public transport, bus operation, garage/workshop safety practices and other bus facilities set-up and can handle multi-national workforce.
- Preferably proficiency in Arabic language, speaking, writing & reading. Plus, English language skills both spoken and written.
- Preference given to Muslim applicants due to the location of the bus operation.
- Full Computer Literacy.
- Excellent communication skills are essential to success in this role.
- Driving license required to drive to site or to technical meetings with the client representative.
