For our consulting team in Near / Middle East, we are looking for a passionate System Integration Manager (m/f/d) to deliver unique and modern consulting solutions for our customers across the region. The focus of this position is the management of the railway project and is an exciting career opportunity to grow professionally in a team of senior railway engineers.
- Support the development of and oversee the Systems Integration and Interface Management project activities.
- Establish and maintain a systematic, documented, comprehensive, and verifiable systems inte-gration process to be applied throughout the duration of the project.
- Oversee the integration of all system interfaces so that the system is properly integrated with other systems, equipment, and data.
- Work closely with Planning and Interface Manager and provide oversight of systems integration and acceptance testing including procedures, documents, and approval steps.
- Responsible for system integration management and requirements fulfilment, providing direction to engineering teams in order to achieve specified technical requirements/schedules.
- Evaluate design changes and impacts on the system interfaces and develop and coordinate In-terface Control Documents and Systems Interface Matrix.
- Ensure rail system and/or vehicle modifications are compatible and integrate with new or existing systems or vehicles.
- Liaise with ‘Planning and Interface’ and ‘Compliance’ managers to plan and schedule integration tests and documentation and submission of result reports.
- Manage and organize work of subcontractors and overlaps, resolve conflicts, and manage issue log and risk register.
- Identify, initiate, and implement corrective actions and process improvement methodologies in line with cost reduction and lean organization.
- University degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering (Bachelor of Sciences minimum).
- Minimum of 10 years and preferably 15 years’ experience including in rail system design or integration, and solid understanding of Systems Engineering Life Cycle.
- Experience with the design and integration of rail electrical and mechanical systems, including OCS, signaling, communication, train control, rolling stock, etc.
- Knowledge of railway signaling (ETCS), communication (GSM-R), rolling stock, including requirements management software is preferred.
- Track record of systems integration management, assurance and acceptance tests; experienced with interface management.
- Ability to interpret electrical drawings and schematic diagrams; familiarity with scheduling software and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Demonstrated initiative, drive, leadership, communication, & interpersonal skills, quest for optimization.
- Potential to perform in a lead capacity and manage engineering staff.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, as well organization and planning skills.
- Ability to work in a cooperative team environment, with stakeholders from very different fields.
- Excellent English skills, Arabic is advantageous.
- Willingness to relocate to Near / Middle East.
